The FBUSD Family Roundtable is an open forum where parents, guardians, and community members come together with district leadership to share feedback, ask questions, and stay informed about what is happening across the district. All families are welcome — no RSVP required.

The District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) is a district-level advisory body made up of parents and guardians of English Learner students. DELAC is required by California law and plays an important role in advising the district on programs and services that affect English Learners.

DELAC advises the district on matters including:

• Development and review of the district's plan for English Learner programs and services
• District-wide needs assessments related to English Learners
• Review of the district's reclassification procedures
• Establishing English Learner program goals and priorities

Meetings are held at Fort Bragg High School, Room 306 and are open to all parents and guardians of English Learner students. Agendas and minutes are available upon request.

Each FBUSD school has its own School Site Council (SSC) — a collaborative body made up of teachers, other school staff, parents or guardians, and students (at the secondary level). The SSC plays a key role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of each school's academic program.

What does a School Site Council do?

The SSC is responsible for developing and approving the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) — a roadmap that outlines how the school will use its resources to improve student outcomes. The SSC also reviews academic data, provides input on school programs, and ensures that the school community has a meaningful voice in decisions that affect students.

SSC meetings are open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend and get involved.
