Career Technical Education (CTE)
Career Technical Education (CTE) gives students the chance to explore real career fields, develop practical skills, and build a foundation for whatever comes next — college, a career, or both.
CTE gives purpose to learning by connecting classroom instruction to the real world. Students in CTE programs graduate with hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and employability skills that set them apart.
What Is a Career Pathway?
CTE programs at FBHS are organized into Career Pathways — multi-year sequences of two to three courses built around a specific career area. Each pathway is designed to give students a progressively deeper understanding of an industry, from foundational concepts to advanced skills and real-world application.
Students who complete a full pathway are prepared to enter the workforce, pursue industry certifications, continue into college programs, or do all three.
