Bond Measures

Bond Measures & Facilities Improvement

FBUSD is committed to maintaining safe, modern, and welcoming learning environments for every student. This page provides information about our bond measures, how funds are being used, and how our community helps ensure accountability and transparency.

Measure B

In 2020, Fort Bragg community members voted to approve Measure B, a local school facilities bond measure. Measure B funds are dedicated exclusively to improving FBUSD school facilities — they cannot be used for administrator salaries or other operating expenses.

Measure B funds support projects such as:

  • Repairing and upgrading aging school buildings
  • Improving safety and accessibility across campuses
  • Modernizing classrooms and learning spaces
  • Maintaining and upgrading essential school infrastructure

Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

State law requires that a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) be established to ensure that Measure B funds are spent appropriately and as promised to voters. This independent committee is made up of community volunteers who review expenditures and report their findings to the public.

The committee meets regularly to review financial reports and ensure accountability. Community members are welcome to attend meetings. Meeting dates and agendas are posted when available.

Audit Reports & Financial Documents

In the interest of full transparency, FBUSD publishes audit reports and financial documents related to Measure B spending. These reports are reviewed by the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee and are available to the public.
