Student Support

Students are offered a number of  resource opportunities, as well as an Academic Enrichment class during the first hour of our program. Students are able to work on missing assignments, participate in tutoring or engage in other activities to improve basic skills. The enrichment activities that are offered during this time have been designed to incorporate different sets of math, reading and social emotional learning skills.  Resources such as, tutoring from academic teachers, weekly grade checks with one on one discussion on improvement and encouragement, and project based learning activities when possible.

Field Trips

Students participate in walking field trips to places such as:

  • Fort Bragg Farmers market

  • CV Starr Center

  • County Science Fair-Ukiah

  • Mendocino- Play "The Tempest" 

  • SacAnime- Sacramento

  • Coastal Trail (Bike Club)- Fort Bragg

Community Outreach

Students are able to participate in Community outreach through a variety of programs and volunteer opportunities such as:

  • Volunteering at the Senior Center Garden

  • Participating in Holiday Parades

  • Setting up a booth for Earth Day Celebration

  • Volunteering at the Mendocino Coast Animal Shelter

Art

In this class we focus on non-traditional arts such as videography, music, and dance.

Computers

We challenge our students to learn coding,  work in Google docs, complete career research projects and more!

Life Skills

Students learn important skills that they can use throughout their lives!

Sports

Students learn and participate in different sports, learning leadership and teamwork skills in an engaging environment.

S.T.E.A.M

Students participate in science experiments and fun projects like building and launching rockets!
