Welcome to the Redwood website! Redwood Elementary School is a Preschool through Second Grade early learning center. We provide young children with a rigorous, standard based curriculum that will give them a strong academic foundation. We are committed to developing the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and creative capacities of each child that enters our doors. We believe in and try to live up to the values stated in our mission statement.
Mission Statement of Redwood Elementary School
Based on the three principles of kindness, safety, and responsibility, we will create a school environment in which each person feels respected, included, and valued. We are committed to living these ideals so that children, staff, parents, and community members will experience Redwood as a happy, wholesome place to learn and grow.
We believe that by working together we can create the best learning environment possible for our children. We welcome parent and community participation in the Redwood Learning Community. Our award winning Rainbow Garden Project in which every student participates is a creation of community, staff, student, and parent cooperation. The Redwood Parents’ Club plays a vital role raising funds to provide enrichment opportunities for students including field trips, assemblies, visual and performing arts activities, and cultural experiences vital to expanding students’ understanding of the world they live in. There are numerous ways to participate in the life of our school: as a classroom volunteer, member of the Parents’ Club, Site Council, sharing skills and talents, participating as a garden, playground, and cafeteria volunteer. You name it; we’ll give you an opportunity to share yourself with us! Come visit our campus; we’d like to meet you!
