MIDDLE SCHOOL
1. The MS Valentine Dance is today from 6-8:30. All MS students are welcome.
2. A mandatory MESA meeting will be held on Friday for all MESA students. We will be discussing our fieldtrip and work at Otis Johnson. Get lunch first.
3. Student Council members need to meet in Mrs. Gehringer’s class this Friday during 7th period.
4. Next Monday, January 13 is a Minimum Day.
5. Auditions this weekend for Gloriana’s Fiddler on the Roof. Details on the poster in the office window.
6. Fort Bragg Little League try-outs start this weekend, rain or shine. All players must attend at least one try-out. The last day to register will be Feb. 25th. Financial assistance is available, please inquire! Bring your baseball glove, cleats & tennis shoes. Call 813-9209 for more info.

7. You have only two more days to buy Valentine Grams. They will only be on sale at lunch. There is a limited quantity and they’re almost sold out.
8. There are too many overdue library books again, and students should look for and return them.
9. Classroom #403 will be closed for computer/game use on Monday, 2/13 and Tuesday, 2/14.
10. Interact will meet at lunch in Cotton Auditorium Friday and next Monday to rehearse.
11. Softball players: If you are going to try out, there is a meeting today, February 10th during lunch at the field. Eat lunch first.
12. Due to tackling and unsafe play, there will be no students allowed on the field during 6th grade lunch this week. Next week Mr. Allegrini will give permission to those who have followed rules.
13. FREE discarded books in library available to students! First come, first served.
14. Applications for the annual youth music and art awards from Soroptimist for any female student between the ages of nine and thirteen are available in the MS office and must be returned by March 16. The Youth Music Award is for $400 and the Youth Art Award is also $400.
15. Kiwis are the richest source of lutein among fruits and vegetables. Lutein is a phytonutrient proven to be effective in reducing the risk of cancer.
