Welcome WASC Visiting Committee
January 26, 2016
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) works in conjunction with the California Department of Education (CDE) to accredit high schools and other educational institutions.
The Focus On Learning Joint Process WASC/CDE is a self-study process that examines what students know and are able to do. This process helps a school identify and implement school improvement needs and supports accountability, and earns an accreditation term.
FBHS' WASC accreditation term was up for review during the 2012-13 school year. On April 7, 2013, a team of teachers, counselors, and administrators from WASC visited Fort Bragg High School to review FBHS programs and determine the term of the next accreditation.
