EDUARDO HURTADO
Counselor, Alternative Education
Eduardo was born and raised in Fort Bragg until he was in 5th grade, and then his family moved to Healdsburg, CA where he later graduated from Healdsburg High School. Right after high school, Eduardo attended California State University, Sacramento where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and his Master's Degree in School Counseling along with his PPS Credential.
After receiving his Masters Degree, Eduardo landed his first job as a high school counselor at Elliot Alternative High School in Modesto and worked there for two years. Afterwards, Eduardo got offered a school counselor position in the Bay Area at Bridgepoint (Alternative) High School in Newark, CA. Eduardo also has experience working as a Youth Counselor for Group Homes and as a Migrant Education Advisor for the Butte County Office of Education.
Eduardo is a huge sports fan and enjoys following and playing soccer, basketball, football and baseball. Eduardo also enjoys hiking and traveling around the world with his wife Angelina. Eduardo has visited: London, Paris, Germany, Italy, Spain and Mexico and hopes to visit many more places.
