PARENTING PROGRAM
The Noyo High School Parenting program is based on the RealCare Baby curriculum from RealityWorks. This science-based program features RealCare® Baby – the world’s only computerized infant simulator that requires realistic care and reports on exactly how it was cared for. Realityworks infant simulators have been used around the world by educators in many fields to provide powerful, hands-on experiences, and teach valuable lessons.
RealCare® Baby helps future parents become more confident, capable and attentive caregivers, and contributes to healthy babies, healthy families and healthy communities.
The RealCare® Parenting Program curriculum consists of materials that help prepare for the simulation, and activities that help participants process their experiences. Other helpful lessons incorporate the financial responsibility of parenthood, infant health needs, and readiness for parenthood. These tools illustrate the impact babies have on one’s life and how to care for an infant’s specific needs.
