The Fort Bragg Unified School District is happy to announce some of the construction and modernization projects in store. We invite you to preview the drawings by clicking on the embedded links highlighted in red. Drawings were prepared by Quatrocchi Kwok Architects.
The District is just breaking ground on two new classroom buildings for Fort Bragg High School. These buildings are a 10 classroom building and a Culinary Arts Building that is being built in cooperation with the County Office of Education and a State Career and Technical Education grant. These buildings should be ready to be occupied for the 2011-12 school year.
Another project in the pipeline is the photo-voltaic project for the entire district. Each of the school sites will be fitted with photo-electric cells which are expected to provide approximately 45% of the District’s power needs. Construction is anticipated to begin October 2010.
Finally, later this Spring, the District will begin a full modernization of the Fort Bragg High School campus. Eventually, the majority of the temporary classrooms will be removed and construction of a new school facade will begin. Each classroom will receive new lighting, flooring and walls, along with updated electric and heating systems.
